Hosting your own Poker night!
Here are some tips for hosting your own Texas Holdem poker night: 1. Decide how many players you want to invite. This will determine the rest of your preparations, such as how many poker tables you're going to need. For every 9 players you'll need one poker table. You should have about two decks of cards for each table, and it's good to always use new poker cards each time you play. It's crucial that you have enough poker chips, around 60-100 chips per player is recommended. Make sure you have one dealer button for each table. 2. Provide plenty of snacks for your guests, and choose snacks that aren't likely to leave a mess on your poker table tops! Use brand-new decks of cards. 3. Decide on the chip denominations. The casino standard is $1 for white, $5 for red, $10 for blue, $25 for green and $100 for black. If your group made up of less experienced or beginner poker players, you may want to consider working with just one or two denominations. 4. Make sure everyone has a basic understanding of the game before you start playing. A quick review before you get started is a good idea for beginners. 5. If the game is taking too long, just increase the blinds.
